Give thanks where thanks is due

You should thank BC's unofficial Official Cog's Pet for standing up to monkeyLostInHead's bullying. Monkey's harassment of the habituates of this board has gone on for too long. Note that it wasn't until BC's unofficial Official Hero started mocking the bully's style that the cleanup crew took note and stepped in. It's almost as if the nameless cog who moved those threads thinks that one person harassing others by spamming drivel is tolerable, but an anti-bully treating the spammer with the same contempt that he shows others is over the line. This type of reaction seems almost engineered to encourage more bullying in the future, which seems to be the overall lesson this nameless cog is trying to teach. We can do nothing about the negativity and harassment often found at BC and as UnderCog once wisely put it: I'll quote Matthew Broderick's adversary in War Games: Strange game. The only winning move is not to play. Maybe this "clutter" could have been avoided if we had all remembered past lessons. Monkey has shown himself unwilling or unable to alter the way he treats the habituates of this place and until we as a community come up with a way to address his bullying that doesn't impact the usability of the board as a whole then we risk our thoughtful informative posts being removed along with his spammed drivel in clumsy cog "clean ups." As always sources say the #OneResponseMethod where we say what we came to say and then allow monkey to have the last word has been found to be the most effective strategy for dealing with his harassment.
